Delete your account

You can leave at any time. The deletion method depends on whether your AstroGuide profile is anonymous or linked to Google.

The fastest way: from inside the app

Open AstroGuide → Settings → About → Delete account. Review what will be removed and confirm. This authenticated in-app route supports both anonymous install-only profiles and profiles linked to Google. Local app data is cleared and the associated server account is erased immediately. This does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

If you linked a Google account and already uninstalled

Use the form below with the Google email linked to AstroGuide. We send a verification link before processing the matching linked account. A request receipt or email verification is not, by itself, proof that an account was found or deleted; the completion page states only what can be confirmed.

If your profile is anonymous and the app is unavailable

AstroGuide's deletion API can cryptographically authenticate an anonymous profile using its anonymous user ID and recovery secret. This static email form deliberately does not collect or store either credential, so it cannot submit an anonymous deletion. If you still have the app, use the in-app route above. If you no longer have access to that installation, send a support request to ask for a safe recovery path, but do not paste a recovery secret into the form. A support acknowledgment is not a deletion confirmation.

By submitting, you request deletion of a Google-linked AstroGuide account associated with this email. Verification is required. Receiving a request number does not confirm that an account was found or deleted. The app journal is stored locally rather than on AstroGuide's server; uninstalling or in-app deletion removes that local copy. A matched, verified deletion is final and cannot be recovered.

What gets deleted

  • Your name, birth data, and any aliases.
  • Your account email and login credentials.
  • Local journal entries and saved partner profiles when deletion is performed in the app.
  • Your full natal chart and any cached forecasts.
  • Your subscription record (cancellation is handled by the store separately — see below).

What can't be deleted from here

  • Aggregated analytics — daily app-usage counters and website page views, with no account-level history retained. Already aggregated; nothing remains that can be deleted for an individual account.
  • Subscription billing records at Google Play — those live on the store side. To cancel an active subscription, do it through Google Play's Subscriptions screen. Deleting your AstroGuide account doesn't auto-cancel a Play subscription.
  • Records Google is required to retain — Google controls its own payment records under its policies and legal obligations.

Timeline

In-app deletion is processed immediately. For a Google-linked account, open the verification message sent to the linked email. A successful completion page confirms deletion; a not-found status means no account was deleted. Requests requiring manual review are handled within 30 days. Anonymous deletion requires the authenticated in-app path or both anonymous recovery credentials, which this email form does not collect.
